I have not said this hear before but I completely agree with Bill- if this is true why no outgoing calls to frantically find out what happened? ESPECIALLY from your own cellphone, you would think one wouldn't want to be using a payphone number to call your Daughter because she wouldn't even recognize the number and perhaps avoid the call. I don't think we knew this before, no outbound calls. very interesting.
Laurieisgone, this is not to you, rather just me thinking along with what's been said lately.
Fred's cellphone rings, he gets the news, and then what?
This is the first thing I would do too. I would call thinking my daughter would at least answer for me. But minutes are expensive, and some cellphones are so small and hard to use. Fred could not have known yet that this was a permanent situation. If he had just gotten home and would rather use the landline or cordless, big deal. I just don't know if he was at home, and if the job in CT was near his home. I guess it doesn't matter much though, unless he wasn't in CT at all.

I hate to say this too, but maybe the police said they thought Fred might be driving the Saturn that night, to get a reaction. In the beginning they were still eliminating the idea that there was a man in the car smoking.

UMass police conducted their own investigation, they had to, a girl was missin from their school. They had to be sure there wasn't a crime that was committed on their campus. In reality most UMass cops are little more than security guards but they are sworn police officers and they are able to conduct investigations as they are technically a real police department.
It would make sense that they would obtain freds phone records from the nhsp in order to indict their own investigation.
But at this point they know there wasn't a crime committed on their campus so their case is closed.
This opened the phone records up to be released due to the foia request for records renner did. Actually was a great idea on renner's part, bypass the nhsp and request records from UMass where a crime wasnt committed, but we know they did do an investigation into the matter

I think it's interesting that Maura wanted to go see a "favorite" comedian in CT on the 13th. How's this for an idea? Maura wants to go stay with her dad since he is stuck working in CT all week, and go to the comedians show. Maybe find a car in CT and trade it in there. In this theory, he'd already know Maura was leaving school, maybe because of her probation. He may have wanted to spend time talking with her about where and what to do next with her schooling.
To go a step further, maybe it was he that told her to put the rag in the tailpipe that night? Someone said if you fold the rag just so, it can stay in the exhaust. I don't know if this is true or not, but Fred sure thought so.

The flip side is that Maura seemed to want to get tickets for all the girls to go see this comedian. Maybe the money brought with was to pay for the tickets?

Perhaps he (Fred) wanted to keep his cell phone open so that the police could contact him -- maybe he didn't have a call waiting option on his plan? It's possible he figured in the aftermath of the Hadley crash that Maura could still be upset and might not pick up if she saw his number come up so he left that task to his eldest daughter? And it is entirely conceivable that he called Maura's cell phone from his temporary residence or workplace landline in Bridgeport, CT after he spoke to Haverhill PD rather than incurring (possibly) heftier charges on his cell phone.

Just because he didn't hit the redial button on his mobile every 30 seconds or so,(between 5pm and 5:49pm on February 10th) doesn't mean he helped his daughter disappear or was in any way culpable.(Just a general comment -- not in any way directed at your contribution Paris.:))

I think there are as many possible explanations for why Mr. Murray might not have used his mobile phone to make those calls, as there are explanations for any of this other stuff. Maybe Citigirl knows?

That would not be the side of the argument you would want if you were on a debate team
I don't see how anybody can realistically look at this case with an open mind an decide that she got lost in the woods. It is the only theory that has absolutely no circumstantial evidence, none.
If you take everything we know it def appears foul play was Involved.
If you consider what the authorities have had to say about the case I really done see how anyone can think she's lost in the woods. Everything they said in court was under oath, so either they rwally believe she was killed, or they perjured themselves. They said 75% chances of charges being brought, that is a pretty strong statement, they must have something to back that up.
Absurd. In it's parts and in total.

I don't know about Mass but it should be easy for someone, not me, to find out. But, in CT all L.E. at the state colleges are manned by CT State police. They are by no means security guards.

It's so funny that lighthouse used frmLE's reasoning in his debate and admittedly lost, actually sounds like they got their asses handed to them. Its not his fault though, that side of the argument is really weak and has absolutely zero evidence to back it up, physical or circumstantial.
The fact of the matter is that argument would lose in any debate that's is truly moderated by someone neutral. it is based on faulty logic through and through.
It starts on some truly faulty assumptions that have zero evidence to back it up.

Bil-what is your evidence(physical or circumstantial) that she got lost in the woods?
Do you have anything at all to back that up or do you just think that for some reason?

How exactly is that absurd? Just because you say something doesn't make it so, what exactly is absurd about that post?

Seriously, I don't have time to do it again.

Just look back over the thousands of posts. I am sure you will find it. It certainly has been repeated enough.

The part I find funniest is when you reference "circumstantial" evidence. I don't think you really understand what that word means.

Lol, oh I see, you dont have time. Youve had time to make thousands of posts over the years but you don't have time now.

I can't think of one post you've ever made that actually shows that she's most likely lost in the woods.
I know your theory, she was drunk and had a lot of adrenaline pumping so she went an got lost in the woods.
Only problem is that theory is first based on the assumption she was drunk, which we absolutely don't know. We know she most likely drank at least one drink but that hardly proves she was drunk. We also have a witness that reported her goin back an forth between the trunk an the car but definitely did not report her stumbling around.

I can not think of one piece of evidence that points to her being in the woods.
On what evidence are you basin your theory bill? Serjously, maybe just give me one piece of evidence where your getting this idea from because I can't even think of one thing.

Its very telling that lighthouses team lost the debate.
The lost in the woods argument holds no water logically & would lose any debate that's moderated by a neutral party

"SRSLYWTH" "Act up from north, west, east, south"

The only problem with your theory is we can only act up to the west as we been told there is nothing to the north, south and especially the east.

You must have your favorite things to do or you that have done.Is there something wrong with wanting to do something in life that you enjoy? Should we not do anything we enjoy because there is the possibility we could one day disappear and others will look at this as suspicious?

UMass cops are definitely not state police, they have their own PD & the cops are real sworn in officers, not just s regular security guard..although the UMass students consider them to be glorified security gisrds

This is obviously beagle again.

Beagle is clearly just not a good person. Anyone who comes online and makes fun of the fact that a girl is missing and her family is looking for her needs to seriously re-evaluate their life.

He also needs to seriously reevaluate what he finds funny because his posts are not funny in the slightest bit, not even close.
they're actually pretty sad because they're written by someone who's clearly demented and in need of some serious help psychologically.
Just like the vids he released on YouTube under 112dirtbag. That's some seriously demented and mean shit in those videos.
Then he has the nerve to complain when someone talks shit about him??
What is wrong with this guy?

Thanks. And I agree these would be in the "peak" hours. The cost is even higher. His plan could have been very small too....100 minutes, 200 minutes, something like that.
