So you see, she MUST have been doing meth. It's the only thing that can cause pupil dilation. Are you sure you don't want to pick with another bull-crap cause from the list above and run with it?
Which angle hasn't been explored yet? Domestic abuse? Check. How about huffing? Maybe she was hit in the head with a night stick by the arresting officer? Nah, too controversial. Making sexy time before the raid? Too sensationalist.
I'm gonna go with "it was dark in her dorm and the hallway before the photo was snapped."

The reason I've heard that meth is so rare is the fact that meth is imported by Meccan gangs and Mexican gangs don't have a good foothold up in new England and new York. New York Is controlled by gangs that sell coke and dope, no meth and they don't want meth around because it's so mich cheaper and less profit for them.
So all meth in new England is produced in small batches in small meth labs, like te ones that are found in graftin county. I know they found more than several the year Maura dissapeared.
The thing is though that the circles that cook meth in small batches are so removed from college kids it's ridiculous. College kids in general eat their ascertains to study and party, they're not setting up meth labs.
Maura probably did Ritalin, I can see it in her eyes, she definitely took it the night she got arrested, but for all I know that was the first time she ever took it. Judging by the fact that she ordered a pizza probably not, they are appetite suppressors until you get a tolerance for them.
Even if she had been taking them every day I serjously doubt that she was so far into the drug workd that she started doing meth.
It's a real stretch of the imagination to think Maura was making a run to Nh for meth, that's absolutely unbelievable. There's just no way she was that experienced in the drug world.
I suspect she was habing problems handling her Ritalin habit and that's a major reason for her erratic behavior.
