This is by far the most interesting post I have ever read on this forum. While I can't take this information as fact because it hasn't been verified by anybody, I do believe this type of political interfering goes on everyday in our law system. It wouldn't surprise me, and I could see where the local LE would have their hands tied without any cold hard evidence. Thank you for the information you have shared with this forum. Yeah residents people who know what is going on in that backwoods town. It's hard to get witnesses when everyone is afraid to talk. But I believe the truth will be out soon and Maura's family can finally have peace and bring her home.

Yeah go to the police without physical evidence the police won't even hear you, not to mention Haverhill Police just refer you to the NH State Police.

If one reviews the earliest information from the time the Saturn left the road and uses good logic (especially deduction), it becomes obvious WHY people in that area are keeping their mouths shut. It's understandable WHY they are afraid to open their mouths and report anything. They are in what might be best described as a bind. In my opinion, they are frightened for very good reason.

That is exactly what I am talking about and trying to get across to Snowy. But sometimes facts and reason fall on deaf ears.

And it is best to not mention names on this forum as in the past people have been wrongly accused and it is not fair. Did the person you say did this go to college with Maura?

Again, laughable horseshit. I don't think they are afraid, I think that many are tired of rehashing the same subject over and over again with every junior sleuth who comes up to that area to "solve" this case.

I have stated and will state again. If you have problems with the police in your one horse town, take your evidence or eyewitness account or whatever you have to the state police. If they don't do what you think should be done, go to the state attorney, still no satisfaction, the FBI has offices around. Can't get there because you have no transportation call them and they will interview you over the phone or come out and see you. Afraid to get involved, use the anonymous site like childfind and the myriad of other sites that allow you to give tips anonymously.

Her IQ is not in that range ("moron"), it's more in the average range in my opinion. Her nastiness is not genuine but she IS a follower. Her problem is that she likes feeling accepted by a little group of her friends on this forum (seeks acceptance, kudos). Together, they attempt to discourage others from using the forum and spend a good deal of time making confrontational statements, unkind remarks hoping people will stop writing. Their purpose? The FBI will not get involved, if you read anything on the story you would know this. As far as people being afraid....have you been to that town? Have you spent any reasonable amount of time there? I think not and if you did you would know what we are talking about. Key the banjo now!!! The only horseshit I see or smell on here is coming from yourself and Snowy!! Some comments made on here by a certain few very well seem keyed towards changing the subject and going off the beaten path. Almost as though they themselves could be involved and are trying to shut this down. I agree with you to the fact that she is no longer with us, as does her cousin Helena, whom I am in contact with. Unfortunately there are a lot of woods up there and rivers and lakes. Also there was a lot of construction in that area at the time of her disappearance, she could be under or in someone's foundation (clue). Also if you recall that year the northeast set record lows for February as temps for the most part were below zero. Where was she going to run in that weather? She was probably more than willing to get in someone's car to keep warm and then met with foul play. All speculation but possible.

I live part time in NH. If you notice the FBI wasn't the only ones I mentioned. And your incorrect. The FBI would get involved IF big IF police are not doing their job. They love busting crooked cops or cops that are dirty. That is part of their job. The FBI over-watches state and local police if needed. So, if you think a crime has been committed and you have evidence of such a thing and you believe that the police are not acting on it because either they are corrupt or because of nepotism. That is EXACTLY the types of things the FBI would get involved in. And again, all the other people I mentioned the SP, the AG both state and federal also could be used. Maura would not be why they are getting involved. They would be getting involved because a crime (you are claiming, not me) was committed and LE is looking the other way because of corruption or nepotism. Again, I don't know if your claim has any merit but if it does any of these people would be keenly interested in it.

And if none of those groups/people/organizations/et c don't work out, you can always go to the press, again, anonymously.

Wow! It will be interesting to see how this plays out... I've often wondered what happens when a murder takes place and people become fearful of reporting any information, afraid of saying anything. They see people disappearing, found murdered...no wonder they're frightened to say anything! Maybe after awhile the FBI will become involved too if they arent' already...because others from out-of-state have also disappeared. The Russian fellow disappeared in Vermont? I read his family members and a member of Russian Embassy flew to U.S. Then we have Chris Flynn and there have been others who have disappeared. Ms. O'Hagan, too (in Vt). I wonder if she knew something about some of these disappearances? It would seem that after a while the authorities would do something about all of these disappearances and murders. That Haverhill police dept. is small and probably doesn't have a large budget to work with necessary resources like a lot of places. It would be great to have the FBI involved.

He obviously does not read the posts or followed the story at all in the media. The local police are out of it, if you go there they refer you to the NH State Police who have bungled this case from the onset. The FBI cannot get involved unless the local or state police ask them for assistance...PERIOD. But in this case this does apply, when you have family and friends in high places you can get away with murder!!!
